Vertical Blue Kayak On the water 1600x533 - TANGO3

TANGO3

Tango3 is a software development company based at the Fibre Hub, who offer a flexible agile approach to their work offering real-time and end-to-end solutions. They pride themselves on their friendly and approachable style, with an ability to tackle problems which other companies might shy away from.

Having worked in the health sector for a number of years, they are about to release the next evolution of their software to manage public access defibrillators. Currently undergoing public trials, “Defib Ready” aims to revolutionise the tracking, management and maintenance of these life-saving devices, with the overarching goal of making sure they are always ready for use.

Innovation in the Wild

Tango3 attended two action packed sessions from the Innovation in the Wild series. The first was an exhilarating kayaking session in the picturesque harbour of Porthleven and along the stunning coastline. Here they heard Ian from Vertical Blue speak about his business and the benefits of Blue Health, under a beautiful blue sky.

The next session Tango3 attended was a two day trip to the Wave in Bristol, where they got to learn and experience a new activity and network.

“The event was incredibly well organised.”

These events were impactful to the Tango3 co-founders, with Matt finding that being able to escape the desk helped with meaningful discussions about the future and company direction. He found the activities made the event different enough to be memorable and that the ‘extreme’ experience helped spark conversation and build new relationships.

Co-founder Seth thought that the longer trip to the Wave gave them the time to better get to know people from other Cornish businesses. He found there was great value in creating relationships which you simply wouldn’t get in a traditional “business breakfast” type environment.

The shared experience of the events helped to create more meaningful networking opportunities that went deeper, with Matt enjoying the opportunity to ditch the blazer and get to know the real person.

“The networking/relationship building was another level. We go to a lot of networking events which are more like a business card swap. Your event offered a shared experience where real friendships/relationships could be built and we heard about problems and success stories of people’s businesses.”

More please!

This style of event went down well for Tango3, giving them an appetite for more outdoor adventures and the inclusion of even more extreme activities in the future!
